2. Scope & Applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements between you (the Customer) and Handmade by Coelsige. By placing an order through handmadebycoelsige.com, you agree to these terms.

3. Offer & Agreement

  • All offers on the website are non-binding and subject to availability.
  • The purchase contract is formed at the moment you complete the checkout process and receive an automated order confirmation via email.
  • You will have the opportunity to review and correct any input errors prior to finalizing your order.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices displayed on the website are stated in Euros (€). Prices are exempt from VAT (btw) on the basis of the Dutch Small Businesses Scheme (Kleineondernemersregeling / KOR).
  • Shipping fees are calculated and displayed separately during checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely via standard Shopify payment methods (iDEAL, Credit Cards, PayPal, etc.). Orders will be dispatched only after full payment is received.

5. Delivery & Shipping

  • Delivery is strictly limited to addresses within the Netherlands and handled via PostNL.
  • Estimated delivery time: 1–3 business days after dispatch, unless stated otherwise on the product page.
  • Risk of loss or damage to products transfers to you upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged during transport, please contact us immediately so we can assist.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht)

As a consumer in the Netherlands, you have the right to cancel and return your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day you (or a designated third party) physically receive the goods.
  • To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us via email (info@handmadebycoelsige.com) before the 14-day period ends. 
  • You must send back the items within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. 
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item received was incorrect or defective.
  • We will refund the full purchase price including standard outward shipping costs within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice (we reserve the right to withhold the refund until we receive the returned items or proof of return).

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal:

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Custom-made or personalized items.
  • Pierced jewelry (e.g., earrings) or personal care items unsealed after delivery due to hygiene and health protection reasons.
  • Digital downloads once performance/download has begun with your explicit prior consent.

7. Statutory Guarantee & Liability

  • Under EU and Dutch consumer law, you are entitled to a legal statutory guarantee (wettelijke garantie). Handmade by Coelsige warrants that products conform to the contract and product descriptions.
  • This guarantee does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper care, intentional damage, or customer misuse.
  • Allergen Notice: While we utilize hypoallergenic components and pre-rinsed materials where indicated, we do not manufacture raw metals or raw textiles. Complete freedom from environmental contamination cannot be guaranteed.

8. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

  • If you have any complaints or issues with your order, please contact us at info@handmadebycoelsige.com so we can find an amicable solution together.
  • In compliance with EU e-commerce rules, consumers may also submit complaints via the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

Your personal data is handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG). For details on how your data is collected, stored, and processed via Shopify, please consult our dedicated Privacy Policy. Cookies are used only in accordance with legal requirements.

10. Amendments
Handmade by Coelsige reserves the right to make reasonable updates to these terms. Any changes will be published on the website and will not apply retroactively to existing finalized agreements.
